I finally got to photographing and listing most of the new heart pendants that I’ve made, check them out in my gothic and steampunk sections on Etsy. Some photos:
Still experimenting with long fused glass cabs. All pendants except for the first one available in my Etsy shop.
I loved Mollie Barrow’s cabs that I purchased from her on Etsy, so I asked whether she could make me some custom ones, suitable for my goth and steampunk pendants. She browsed my shop and had a pretty good idea of what I needed, and came up with these beautiful cabs (some of them she had already, but she custom made most of them). She even drilled some of the for me, because it’s difficult to …
The next step from buying handmade lampwork beads in bulk, is buying artistic glass beads and cabs from self-representing glass artists. They are usually higher quality than the commercially manufactured supplies, and unlike them, are absolutely unique (this is me showing the middle finger wondering how to protect myself from plagiarism, which unfortunately happened just recently). I’ve recently purchased some beautiful pieces from other artists on Etsy. The pendants listed here are available in my Etsy …
Being a bead addict, I buy a lot of mixed lots with lampwork glass beads. I always like to be surprised, although for some beads I don’t have an immediate purpose. These are some of the most interesting ones I’ve got recently.
Encouraged by the popularity of the yesterday’s necklace with crocheted wire, I’ve made another one, steampunk style this time. It came out somewhat longer (54cm instead of 45). I’m very happy with how the central part came out. Available on Etsy.
I’m a little bit fed up with all those heart pendants, although they are extremely popular. I decided to make some new pendants that are round, oval, square, anything but heart. These are four new ones, but there are also some older ones still available in the shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/ukapala?section_id=7177309&page=2
I got swamped with some custom orders and some other unrelated stuff, but I’ve managed to make something for my shop as well. I know people have been inquiring for my heart pendants, so I made four goth ones. As you can see, I’ve used some new glass/wire combinations. Available on Etsy.
This pendant is a custom order that I’ve made just recently. Silver plated wire and red beads, a combination less usual that I usually make. (Sold)
This one is a bit unusual, slightly smaller than most of my steampunk pendants, and has unusual shape. I wrapped about half of it before I realized that some of the bead should remain visible, so I left the other half bare. Available on Etsy.
