Still taking a break from steampunk and preparing to make some Valentine’s Day themed (hearts, duh) jewellery. Some stone donut pendants that I’ve recently wrapped: There’s rose quartz there, turquoise, agate, lepidolite and jade. Available in my Etsy shop.
I made this pendant over a year ago, so it might not be as neat as my newest creations, but I still like the idea. Maybe someday I’ll make more of these, when I get more amber beads. Available on Etsy.
This bead is yellow glass with silver foil in it, which makes it look gold. It would be impossible to tell if the foil was gold or silver, if not for several tiny air bubbles trapped in the glass. Lovely :) Available on Etsy.
Somebody said it resembles fire. I can’t disagree, really, it sort of does. I was reluctant to use this bead, because I liked other beads more and I wasn’t sure what would come out of it, but the outcome is ok. Well, at least looks better than the bead alone. Available on Etsy.
People said it looked like some planets with their moons. I really don’t remember what I was thinking while making it. Probably that I had never done anything similar :) Lava, lime jade, turquoise and goldstone. Available on Etsy.
…and this one is more complicated and has more brass parts, which are more rare than steel parts. Also, I finally figured out what to do with the engraved pocket watch parts to show them off better. Available on Etsy.
These delicate looking earrings most likely can be a great addition to most female steampunk outfits. Silver foil glass beads, amber brown with warmer brown/reddish stripes, wrapped in wire with dangling chain pieces and non-wrapped gears to emphasize the style. I used a lot of chain in these, but it was worth it and looks way better than a single piece of chain. Available on Etsy.
I’m so happy about how they came out! I’ve certainly made a huge amount of earrings for the past few weeks (didn’t have time to list all of them on etsy, though), but this is one of the best pairs so far :) SO not fair that I look awful in yellow :( Actually I might use this pattern for other pairs, since I’ve got plenty of round shaped beads (no purple, though, it’s been …
I have been quite busy for the past few days (hence no updates), but I still managed to find some time to make some jewellery. I promised myself that I will use all the wire leftovers before I start another bigger project, so I made a few pairs of earrings. They are available in my Etsy shop in the “Steampunk” section.
Would you believe that I’m really trying to stay away from cuteness and heart-shaped beads? All of these came in bead mixes. And now I have to figure out how to make non-cute stuff out of them.
