As usually, assembling the beaded part took me a lot more time than the wire wrapped part, because I kept stringing the beads and dismantling the whole thing all over again until for hours until it looked right.
I used fused glass cab for a focal piece, coconut shell beads, lampwork beads, handmade recycled glass beads, some brass plated findings and faux suede cord.
Two glass cabs are from Mollie Barrow and one is from the For The People shop (my two favourite ever artisan glass suppliers, I only wish they also did lampworking). Available in my shop. Enjoy.
The central wire wrapped pieces of these necklaces have been ready for quite a while, but I had to decide which beads to use for the rest of the necklace and had to collect enough of them. I was trying to go for the casual asymmetric look.

I’ve had these jade beads (research results show that it’s qinghai jade) for almost two years, and I rarely have a good idea what to do with them. They look bland with silver, gold plated wire is too hard for my fingers and copper tarnishes when I don’t want it to. This wire is a enamelled copper, and the enamel is more or less in the shade of copper, so the wire will not tarnish. I’m still not sure if this is the right colour to go with this bead, but at least the wrapping didn’t hurt my hands :>
Somebody said it resembles fire. I can’t disagree, really, it sort of does. I was reluctant to use this bead, because I liked other beads more and I wasn’t sure what would come out of it, but the outcome is ok. Well, at least looks better than the bead alone.
