Steampunk earrings batch

I’m having another beading attack earrings phase. These earrings are quite simple in construction, but include handmade dichroic glass beads and unusual brass-plated elements. I tried to make each pair look slightly different. More are to come when I get more supplies. Available in my Etsy shop. And this box contains over 1kg of unfinished lampwork glass earrings, that are waiting for me to have enough energy/wire scraps to make some matching earhooks.

You really don’t want to know how much time it took to complete it. A pendant like this has to be wrapped around at least twice, so it doesn’t bend, and needs extra wire in a few spots to give it durability. I used lots of tiny glass beads to decorate it. It was fun to make, but took lots and lots of work. Available on Etsy.

More pendants with dichroic glass

I’m still experimenting with the right shape for my pendants, also looking for beads that go with the dichroic glass cabs, which is not easy, because they usually change colours depending on from which angle you look at them. Metallic coated fire polished glass seems to work best. The pendants are available in my shop: green, purple, blue and brown (the green one is also based on a gold plated watch piece – nicer colour!)

Pocket watch steampunk pendants with artistic glass cabs

But recently I found out I could glue them onto stuff, for example onto the round flat spots in some pocket watch pieces, like I used to do with cameo cabs. I think dichroic glass is perfect for steampunk and I’ve been working on these pendants especially …

Test tube pendants

“Test tube pendants” is what Mollie Barrow named them. Only the first one is based on a round cab (and also quite big). Mollie is the person who makes all these beautiful glass cabs. Each one is different, so these pendants are even more unique than my other stuff (which is unique but sometimes on a different level). You can see Mollie’s other work on her facebook page. My pendants are available on Etsy in …

Custom made glass cabochons

I loved Mollie Barrow’s cabs that I purchased from her on Etsy, so I asked whether she could make me some custom ones, suitable for my goth and steampunk pendants. She browsed my shop and had a pretty good idea of what I needed, and came up with these beautiful cabs (some of them she had already, but she custom made most of them). She even drilled some of the for me, because it’s difficult to …
