I was a little bit late with the shamrock production this year, but there’s still some time until St. Paddy’s day. I tried different wire and bead combinations this time.

Available in my Etsy shop: warm green shamrock, light green shamrock, green wire shamrock and blue shamrock.

I’m still experimenting with the right shape for my pendants, also looking for beads that go with the dichroic glass cabs, which is not easy, because they usually change colours depending on from which angle you look at them. Metallic coated fire polished glass seems to work best.

The pendants are available in my shop: green, purple, blue and brown (the green one is also based on a gold plated watch piece – nicer colour!)

I’ve had a stash of fused and dichroic glass cabochons that were too small to use for wire wrapping and had no idea what to do with them. But recently I found out I could glue them onto stuff, for example onto the round flat spots in some pocket watch pieces, like I used to do with cameo cabs. I think dichroic glass is perfect for steampunk and I’ve been working on these pendants especially carefully.

All available in my Etsy shop: blue moon, dichroic 1 and dichroic 2

There’s still time to order a gift before St. Valentine’s Day so I made even more of the popular hearts so you can have more choice. The pendants are available in my shop, in the steampunk section and gothic section.

With these pendants it usually takes more time to make them. They’re high end stuff in what I make and I want them to be really perfect, so I take the time to find the right watch parts, right beads to decorate them, and the wrapping itself lasts longer. The beautiful glass cabs come from Mollie Barrow at Spleodar Glass. Two of them are emerald green, although I can’t decide what colour that is exactly. I’d say it’s on the green side of teal. And the third one is midnight blue with shimmering bits inside, which make it look like starry sky.

Available in my Etsy shop here (1), here (2) and here (3).
