In Northampton the older accent has been influenced by overspill Londoners. There is an accent known locally as the Kettering accent, which is a transitional accent between the East Kristen nett dating and East Anglian. A few miles northwest in Leicestershire the slender ""a"" becomes more widespread generally. In addition, most British people can to some degree temporarily ""swing"" their accent towards a more neutral form of English at will, to reduce difficulty where very different accents are involved, or when speaking to foreigners.
Phonological features characteristic of British English revolve around the pronunciation of the letter R, as well as the dental plosive T and some diphthongs specific to this dialect.
Such wall earthworks are typically associated with ceremonial sites oriented to solar events, and other features of this site suggest that it is the case here. Most directly, consider this photo of the vernal equinox sunset through the gateway: Below, the opposite west end of the gateway with large and somewhat zoomorphic sandstone slabs possibly collapsed from an original structure flanking the upward path. Note that nothing like this is present on the uphill [east] end.
This is an apparent rim sherd identified by a professional Ohio archaeologist as likely being from the Kristen nett dating Woodland Period, or roughly years BP.
Older flint points have been found on bottomland just north of the site. Lithic artifact material bearing the carved imagery characteristic of this site has been found in parts of Ohio that, unlike this location, were flattened by glaci- ation, suggesting that the material in those areas is less than 14, years old unless, of course, it simply survived where it was earlier, or was carried in by a glacier.
The interior of the church is decorated with complex mosaics, and ongoing restoration projects have returned the dome and bell towers to their original glory. Scott Joplin, the ""father of Ragtime,"" lived in this house from to Maintained by Missouri State Parks, the house is furnished in period to the early s and includes memorabilia and a player piano featuring the artist's music.

Built inthis three story townhouse has been accurately restored with its carriage house, rose garden, and gazebo, offers a showcase of Victorian furnishings and decorative arts. Campbell House Museum features original furnishings from the family who lived here from through The museum collection includes classic Rococo-Revival Victorian furniture, portraits, textiles, silver, gold-leaf frames and cornices, faux-grained woodwork, and other examples of decorative arts.
